Hell in a Handbag Productions Presents SHOWGIRLS! The Benefit

Hell in a Handbag Productions is thrilled to announce their annual benefit, SHOWGIRLS!, an evening of glitz and glamor with a decidedly gaudy Vegas theme featuring an exclusive staged reading of SHOWGIRLS! A MUSICAL, the newest over-the-top production from Artistic Director David Cerda. The Vegas-inspired evening includes southern-style comfort food with a twist by The Hearty Boys, adult refreshments, games and the world's best silent/live auction.

The festivities will take place Sunday, October 16 from 5 pm - 10 pm at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1650 W. Foster Ave. in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. Tickets are currently available at www.handbagproductions.orgor by calling (800) 838-3006.

The benefit raffle and silent/live auctions feature things you actually want, including a walk-on role in a Handbag show, two pairs of tickets to a little show callEd Hamilton, and the grand prize - a Vegas vacation package for two, including two tickets to see the trash pop queen of Las Vegas, Ms. Britney Jean Spears! Can dinner for two at Popeye's be far behind?

Based on the cult classic film Showgirls, SHOWGIRLS! A MUSICAL follows the path of up-and-coming dancer NoNo, as she conquers Las Vegas one lap dance at a time. Enjoy all of your favorite moments from the film, made even tackier - Handbag style! SHOWGIRLS! A MUSICAL will feature the Handbag ensemble and surprise celebrity(ish) guest stars, including Las Vegas staples Cher, Tina Turner, Britney Spears, Ann-Margret and Elvis Presley! See it only at the Handbag benefit!
