Genesis Theatrical Productions Presents ZELDA AT THE OASIS, Now thru 8/23
Genesis Theatrical Productions will present the Chicago premiere of Zelda at the Oasis by Pat Lin beginning tonight, August 6 and running to August 23, 2015.
Behind every great man is a great woman -- the saying holds true for Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, wife of The Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald. However, Zelda at the Oasis paints a dark portrait behind the famous literary couple. While living under the shadow of her husband's success, the play reveals the struggles of an emotionally and mentally unstable woman trying to reclaim herself as an artist.
Genesis Theatrical Productions transports you back into the dark corners of the Oasis -- the New York City bar which Fitzgerald adopts as her solitary abode -- to explore the equally dark corners of a damaged woman who desperately seeks to find some light through the cracks of her life.
The show features Amy Gray as Zelda and Guy Wicke as The Barman.
The play will be presented at The West Stage of the Raven Theatre Complex, 6157 N. Clark, Chicago. Tickets are $30 with discounts for students and seniors and discounted tickets available on Goldstar.
Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3:30pm and runs from August 6 to the 23. For tickets call the Raven Theatre Box office at 773-338-2177 or online at web.ovationtix.com/trs/cal/34415/1438401600000
