Firebrand Theatre Presents YOU OUGHTA KNOW: A TRIBUTE TO FIREBRANDS OF THE 90s Image
Celebrate the fierce femmes of the '90s with Firebrand Theatre! Firebrand presents YOU OUGHTA KNOW: A TRIBUTE TO FIREBRANDS OF THE '90s on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 8 pm at Elastic Arts, 3429 W. Diversey Ave. #208, in Chicago.

The '90s were a cornerstone time for femme musicians, with the influential songwriting and vocal talents of Melissa Etheridge, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, Brandy, Missy Elliot, Lauryn Hill, Fiona Apple, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and femme fronted bands The Cranberries, Hole, TLC, Destiny's Child, Spice Girls, Bikini Kill, Dixie Chicks and No Doubt. Firebrand takes you back to that special decade with musical performances by some of Chicago's premier femme and nonbinary actor/singer/musicians.

The talented line-up of Chicago performers includes Angela Alise (Goodman's The Wolves), Molly Brennan, Caitlyn Cerza (Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding), Chelsie Cravens, Paige Daigle (Firebrand's Lizzie), Ann Delaney (American Blues Theater's Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), Firebrand's Artistic Director Harmony France, Desiree Gonzalez (Kokandy's Bonnie and Clyde), Christina Hall (Chicago Shakespeare Theater's Peter Pan), Dakota Hughes (Lifeline's Neverwhere), Dani James (iO regular, recent grad of The School at Steppenwolf), MICHA (writer and star of East'O, West'O!), Irmaneli Rodriguez, Lauren Paris (Refuge's The Spitfire Grill), Alisa Rosenthal, Hannah Starr (Victory Gardens' Fun Home) and cast members of Firebrand's Caroline, or Change Rashada Dawan, Bre Jacobs, De'Jah Perkins, Emma Sipora Tyler, Roberta Burke and Nicole Michelle Haskins!

YOU OUGHTA KNOW: A TRIBUTE TO FIREBRANDS OF THE '90s is hosted by Becca Brown (Spamilton, The Hypocrites' American Idiot) and Liz Chidester (Firebrand Theatre's Lizzie, American Blues Theater's Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story), with music direction by Kathleen Gibson (Baby Wants Candy.)

Tickets for YOU OUGHTA KNOW are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. VIP tickets are $50 and include preferred seating and a gift bag. Tickets are currently available at Brown Paper Tickets (https://fiercefemme.brownpapertickets.com/). A cash bar is available.

All proceeds from YOU OUGHTA KNOW will help fund Firebrand Theatre's second season, which includes CAROLINE, OR CHANGE in association with TimeLine Theatre, current playing through October 28, 2018 at The Den Theatre (1331 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago) and QUEEN OF THE MIST, opening in May 2019 at The Den Theatre
