Friday, December 23rd, the funkiest band on earth takes the stage at Martyrs'! Ivan Neville (organ, keys, vocals) is the son of Aaron Neville. Ivan formed Dumpstaphunk in 2003 with his cousin Ian Neville (guitar), son of Art Neville (the godfather of New Orleans funk and founder of The Meters and the Neville Brothers), along with long time Neville Brothers bassist Tony Hall, Nick Daniels III (bass, yes that is correct: 2 bass players!). The group now features Alvin Ford Jr. on drums. Voted "New Orleans Best Funk Band" in 2014, and performing at some of the worlds's largest music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Voodoo Music Experience, Hangout Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, 10,000 Lakes, High Sierra, Outside Lands Festival, Gathering Of The Vibes, Dave Matthews Caravan, their 12th consecutive year at the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Dumpstaphunk continues to bring the funk and grow their audience with every high energy performance. Don't miss this chance to experience Dumpstaphunk in their return to Martyrs'. Baby, it's warm inside. For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/events/1143912699037959/.

ALSO COMING UP! Featuring one of Dumpstaphunk's drummers, Nikki Glaspie (Beyonce, The Neville Brothers), THE NTH POWER, is a powerhouse New Orleans quartet marrying funky soul, rock, R&B, jazz, Gospel, folk and World Beat with improvisational chops that can match any collective on the jazz and jam band scenes.
