The Dead Writers Theatre Collective is thrilled to announce the first show of its 2017-2018 season, Angel Street (Gaslight) by PatRick Hamilton. The show will be a continuation of the Collective's chamber series set in the small intimate space of Stage 773. The show is four performances only April 6-9, with a preview night on April 5. Tickets are now on sale and available at deadwriters.net.

Angel Street (Gaslight) opens with a nervous young woman, BElla Manningham, terrified she is losing her mind. Her husband, Jack, is systematically trying to drive her insane by torturing her with petty aberrations he arranged himself. This thriller is set in England 1880, when independent women were rare and few were allowed to make the choices that could free them from an abusive husband. Angel Street (Gaslight) captures the essence of that intangible that makes for a first-rate suspense drama.

The cast of Angel Street (Gaslight) includes Collective members: Jack Dryden (Jack Manningham), Meaghan Looney (BElla Manningham), Jim Hannigan (Inspector Rough), Megan Delay (Nancy), Sara Minton (Elizabeth), and Joyce Saxon (Alice Barlow).

The Saturday performance on April 8th will feature a champagne gala reception. The ticket price includes a post-show reception with hor d'oeuvres, a champagne toast, and a meet and greet with the cast. All proceeds from this show will go directly to operating expenses of the Collective.
