Big Noise Theatre Company's LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE to Run 1/15-31

By:

Big Noise Theatre Company, a division of Winnetka Theatre, announces the opening of their 2016 season with the play Love, Loss, and What I Wore - an intimate collection of stories written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron. Nora and Delia are authors of the hit films Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and You've Got Mail.

This celebrated play is proof that a great show is always in fashion. Based on the best-seller by Ilene Beckerman, the show uses clothing and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories, creating an enduring and memorable experience. As Charles Isherwood describes it in his New York Times review, "...the show is a scrapbook of stories about unfortunate prom dresses, the traumatic lighting in fitting rooms, high heels, short skirts and the existential state of having nothing to wear. Accessorizing these tales - which are mostly comic but often sad or sentimental too - are the mothers who disapprove, the men who disappear, [and] the sisters who've got your back."

Love, Loss, and What I Wore will perform at Prairie Lakes Theater, Des Plaines from January 15 to 31, 2016. The performances will take place on the following dates and times: Fri, Jan 15, 22 & 29 at 8 p.m. / Sat, Jan 16 at 8 p.m / Sat, Jan 23 & 30 at 3 p.m. & 8 p.m. / Sun, Jan 17, 24 & 31 at 3 p.m. Additionally, we are offering a SPECIAL MATINEE on Wed, Jan 20 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and can be purchased on our website 24/7 at www.bignoisetheatre.org. If you wish to reserve seats by phone, please call 847.604.0275. Group rates also available.

A cast of six fantastic women will share different storylines throughout the show, taking the audience on a journey through life and love via a woman's wardrobe: Beverly Coscarelli (Chicago), Becca Duff (Oak Park), Nicola Howard (Glenview), Carmen R. Lawrence (Chicago), Julie Stevens (Deerfield), and Hannah Williams (Chicago). The show is directed by Catherine Davis (Glenview) and is produced by Peter Rasey (Chicago).

Big Noise Theatre Company's productions continue to be known for bringing Downtown quality to the suburbs at reasonable rates. Big Noise strives to produce high-quality shows that stretch the creative talents of their actors and staff as well as surpass the expectations of their audience.
