Beckie Menzie & Tom Michael Present ISN'T IT ICONIC?

One of Chicago's most beloved musical duos and concert artists, the award-winning Beckie Menzie & Tom Michael present their new musical offering Isn't It Iconic?. Menzie and Michael's new show celebrates the music of the twentieth century's most influential and timeless iconic superstars including Sinatra, Elvis, Streisand, Garland, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Aretha and many more, performed in the duo's award winning style.

will have a limited run of five performances only at Davenport's (1383 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago), Saturday's in April (2, 9, 16, 23 & 30) at 8pm. There is a $20 cover charge and two-drink minimum. Due to the high demand, reservations are highly recommended by calling 773.278.1830.

April will also be marking the release of Tom Michael's long awaited new CD Let Me Be Your Home. R
eleased on LML Music, the CD is a stunning collection of pop songs, classic standards, and movie and Broadway favorites performed in Tom's warm, expressive style.
Among the material covered on this winning collection are the classics of Mercer, Arlen and Sondheim, along with the more contemporary works of Carole King, Kenny Loggins, David Gates, and Chicago songwriters Cheri Coons, Beckie Menzie and Chuck Larkin, (the musical director for the Chicago production of Jersey Boys), who wrote the title track. The multi-talented Menzie provides arrangements and piano accompaniment, as well as performing three vocal duets with Tom. With one listen you can hear why Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune calls them "one of the more compelling duo's in cabaret today!"

Their imaginative musical twists on jazz favorites, standards, contemporary pop, Broadway show tunes and film gems, have won them audience and critical acclaim across the country and around the globe. Menzie & Michael's diverse touring schedule has recently taken them to some very prestigious stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Town Hall. They have also been included in?New York's Cabaret Scenes Magazine's "Top Ten Cabaret Acts"?for five consecutive years.
Their recording efforts have been praised by Billboard Magazine, BackStage, Show Business Weekly and Playbill and their duo CD, "Better Two-gether," available on iTunes and amazon.com, has been hailed by critics as "magic," "sensational," and "...the year's best recording."

Named "among the best performers in Chicago" by Rick Kogan of WGN Radio, Menzie & Michael have appeared at The Auditorium Theatre, Park West, The Pritzker Stage at Millenium Park, The Metropolis, The Empire Room and Maxim's. They have also been featured at numerous Chicago Humanities Festival ASCAP concerts.
