Cabaret returns to Millennium Park this winter with the popular series, Cabaret with a View, where audiences have a chance to sit on the stage of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion to experience music in an intimate setting and a climate controlled environment. Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, the series kicks off on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. with one of Chicago's leading ladies, the acclaimed Joseph Jefferson Award-winning actress, Barbara Robertson, in "Stages of My Life."

Tickets are $25 which includes seating at cabaret tables on the Pritzker Pavilion's stage level and two complimentary drinks, and $15 for seats in the Pritzker's choral balcony. All tickets are available by calling 312.742.TIXS (8497) or by visiting www.millenniumpark.org.

Barbara Robertson's "Stages of My Life" features an eclectic collection of music and anecdotes as varied as the roles that she has played throughout her career. The evening will feature songs by Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill, Cole Porter, Kander and Ebb, and Kotis and Hollmann, to name a few. Robertson will be joined by Jeremy Kahn on piano.

Last night, November 7, 2011, Robertson received a Joseph Jefferson Award for her masterful portrayal of Alice Conroy in the world premiere of Keith Huff's The Detective's Wife at Writers' Theatre. This year, she could also be seen in the ChicaGo Productions of Love, Loss and What I Wore and Working at the Broadway Playhouse, as well as in Wicked's National Tour as Madame Morrible.

Other credits include: Yeast Nation (American Theatre Company); Pursued By Happiness (Steppenwolf Theatre Company), Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, Mary Stuart, La Bete, Tartuffe, The House Of Blue Leaves (Court Theatre); Grand Hotel (Drury Lane Water Tower); Hamlet, Kabuki Lady Macbeth, A Little Night Music, A Winter's Tale (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre); The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?, House And Garden, Pal Joey, Black Snow (Goodman Theatre); Emma's Child (Victory Gardens Theatre); Detachments (Center Theater); Kabuki Medea (Wisdom Bridge And Kennedy Center); Chicago (Marriott Theatre); Angels in America I & II (National Tour). For her work, she has received more than twenty awards and nominations, including Joseph Jefferson, Helen Hayes, Cal-Alpert, Sarah Siddons and After Dark.

Her film credits include Robert Altman's The Company and David Lynch's A Straight Story and the soon to be released, LOL. Barbara is a member of Actors' Equity Association, AFTRA and SAG and a teacher at Columbia College Chicago.

Cabaret with a View continues with E. Faye Butler's "My Funny Valentine" on Monday, February 13, 2012, Paul Oakley Stovall's "The Next Best Thing to Love..." on Monday, March 12, 2012 and McKinley Carter's "Spring Forward/Fall Back" on Monday, April 9, 2012.
