André Rieu, the legendary violinist and conductor, will return to Chicago this fall with his 55-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra. Rieu will appear in concert at the United Center, 1901 W. Madison St, on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. Tickets will go on sale at www.ticketmaster.com on April 30 at 11 a.m.
The 2011 tour will be very special. Says Rieu: "I always say that music is the most wonderful thing in the world. Music triggers emotions. I want to bring an ode to waltzes and polkas that bring joy, to romantic ballads and to many more beautiful melodies. It will be a very special night."
