AkooTV, the largest Nielsen-measured out-of-home television network in the U.S., today announced that it will host its inaugural VIP event for partners, media agencies, and brand advertisers at the newly renamed Akoo Theatre at Rosemont on March 3. The event begins in Akoo's VIP Lounge at 8 p.m. and includes a live performance by legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld at 10 p.m.

"We're thrilled to welcome key partners, clients, and advertisers for the first time to the new Akoo Theatre at Rosemont," said Akoo International CEO Niko Drakoulis. "Celebrating with our friends is a great way to start what's shaping up to be another breakout year for AkooTV as the leading television network outside of the home."

Akoo announced its exclusive naming rights partnership for the 4,400-seat concert and live entertainment venue in February 2012. The comprehensive, multi-year partnership enables Akoo to produce live events and exclusive programming at the venue for its flagship media network, AkooTV, which provides entertainment programming across 166 premier shopping malls in 60 top U.S. markets.

AkooTV's programming is featured throughout the most highly trafficked seating areas in each mall – branded the "Akoo Pavilions" – which attract more than 64 million shoppers each month. Viewers in Akoo Pavilions spend an average 20 minutes per visit seated in front of the network's programming and advertising.

AkooTV is powered by the Company's patented interactive technology, which uniquely enables viewers to make on-demand content requests with their mobile devices, via free mobile app or text messaging. Viewers in Akoo Pavilions can also connect with friends via Facebook and Twitter, download mobile coupons, and participate in exclusive promotions. An on-demand transaction occurs on the network every four seconds.
