Linda Ann Watt to Teach MASTER ACTING & SCENE STUDY Class from April 26
Acting teacher Linda Ann Watt will teach a Master Acting & Scene Study Class. The 10-session class will meet weekly at Spirit Square, 235 North College Street, 3rd Floor, starting on Thursday, April 26, 2012, 7-9 p.m.
Students will learn “Method” acting technique with sense memory and relaxation exercises, voice, improvisation and in-depth scene study using substitution, intent, personalization, creative hiding and physical action. Strasberg, Meisner, Adler and Katselas teachings will be explored. One class will be devoted to “On camera” cold reading and the audition process with a final showcase for students.
Watt is a member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and owner of Corlin Productions, a union signatory Production Company in L.A. and Charlotte and a past board member of Women in Film in L.A. Through Corlin Productions, Watt produces and directs film, television and commercials. She is also a contributing editor for Broadwayworld, Charlotte. Watt teaches a Workshop Advanced for working actors and directors and an Enrichment Arts Program for youth.
