Hershey Symphony to Perform Free Children's Concert
Maestro Greg Woodbridge will lead the orchestra in a program titled Unwrap the Music.
The Hershey Symphony Orchestra willinvite young people and their families to experience live orchestral music at "Unwrap the Music," a free children's concert, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Hershey Theatre.
This community concert will introduce young listeners to the many unique sounds of the symphony orchestra. Under the direction of Maestro Greg Woodbridge, children and their families will discover how the musicians work together with the conductor to tell a story through music.
"I remember the first time I heard a live symphony orchestra when I was 10 years old," said Woodbridge. "I was absolutely transformed. My hope is that every child who attends Unwrap the Music experiences that same sense of wonder and leaves excited to explore the incredible world of orchestral music."
The concert marks the return of a beloved Hershey Symphony tradition after many years.
"We're thrilled to once again offer a children's concert for our community," said Hershey Symphony Executive Director Susan Cort. "Introducing young people to live music is one of the most meaningful things we can do. Thanks in part to the generosity of our sponsors, we're delighted to make this experience available at no cost to our audience members.”
Admission is free, but reservations are required.
