DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre to Present PETER PAN, 2/8-24
By: BWW News Desk
Most people know the story of Peter Pan and Wendy. A boy who won't grow up visits the Darling family and takes their children away to Neverland. There they encounter Indians, pirates, and mermaids, and go on all sorts of adventures before they return back to their homes. They also fly, a lot.
When DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre voted to do Peter Pan and Wendy, the big question was: "how are we going to make them fly?" DreamWrights is a black box theatre, which makes flying actors nearly impossible. You need a lot of height to be able to use a traditional harness flying system, and much more distance from the audience. It also costs a lot of money. So a lot of brainstorming needed to happen. After many talks and production meetings, we decided to try two creative and very exciting ways to simulate flight. Come and see!*Tickets must be purchased in advance for the Audio Description & Playlet & Breakfast performances ... and is recommended for all.
PERFECT for all Ages. Reserved Seating $12 General Admission $8. By phone with a credit card 717-848-8623 x1. Or at DreamWrights 9-4:30 Monday -Friday. Online at www.DreamWrights.org and follow the link.
