Join the Slambovian Circus of Dreams at Daryl's House, one of the best sounding rooms in the Hudson Valley! The band celebrates the release of their First Live Album in years on July 4th! The release, called "13 - LIVE", was recorded for WAMC Radio's "Live at The Linda" in Albany, which aired this year. CDs will be available at the show.
Voted "Best Band" by NY's Chronogram Magazine for their rootsy, rockin' psychedelia and fantastic stories and songs, the Slambovians' deep connection with audiences and exciting live shows are legendary. This legendary band blows open the doors of Americana "one trippy tune at a time." Woodstock-tinged acoustic rock blends a cool mix of southern rock, Celtic and British folk combined with solid songwriting - a slice of Americana pie that is irresistible!
:::::Notable Quotes:::::
"They're the kind of band you don't just listen to - you become part of their universe."- Karl Sharicz, Rock and Roll Underdogs (2025 Palmetto Publishing)
"Tour after tour, festival after festival, they've returned - not chasing trends, but nurturing something far more meaningful: a genuine connection. It's why they've been voted Best Band by fans and promoters alike. It's why rooms fill with returning faces. And it's why every show feels less like a gig… and more like a reunion." - Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, Peter Barton, UK
"They're the kind of band you don't just listen to - you become part of their universe."- Karl Sharicz, Rock and Roll Underdogs (2025 Palmetto Publishing)
"A breath of fresh air in a sometimes stagnant world - especially as a live act - with varied eclectic influences and great musicianship. Plus moustaches, hats and stage presence gild their Interesting and thought-provoking lyrics for the curious adult mind." - Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull
"The best band since the Beatles" - Jim Pons, bassist: Frank Zappa, The Turtles, John Lennon
The Band: Joziah Longo (resident shaman of Slambovia), leads with vocals described as "soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic." Longtime bandmates Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, mandolin, flute) and guitarist/ mandolin wizard Sharkey McEwen bring their own magic to the Slambovian brew with "a little help from their friends" - RJ McCarty (keys, bass, sax), Bob Torsello (bass), and Matthew Abourezk (drums).
