MusicalFare's 2011-2012 Subscription Season consists of two re-conceived classics, two regional premieres, and a return to the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein after a 18 year absence from the MusicalFare stage. This season continues the exciting legacy of MusicalFare Theatre, where the very best and unique musical theatre is created and produced.

All productions are presented on the Time Warner Cable Stage at MusicalFare Theatre.

OLIVER!
September 7 - October 16, 2011
"Consider Yourself" invited to our re-conceived classic musical, OLIVER! (...with a 'TWIST'). It's the same story that's adored by generations, featuring the songs you love and remember, like "Food Glorious Food," "Oliver!," and "As Long as He Needs Me." But the 'Twist' involves new orchestrations, and a whole new way of telling the story of Oliver, Fagin, The Artful Dodger and the rest of the beloved characters.

A CLASS ACT
November 2 - December 11, 2011
Edward Kleban was the Tony-winning lyricist for the Broadway classic, A CHORUS LINE. Upon his death in 1978, a trunkful of songs from never-produced musicals was found by his friends and A CLASS ACT was born. Featuring songs in the classic-Broadway style and characters from his life including his A CHORUS LINE writing partner, Marvin Hamlisch and the show's creator, Buffalo's own Michael Bennett, A CLASS ACT tells the story of a remarkable man and the ups and downs of his life and career in the theatre.

AVENUE Q
January 25 - March 4, 2012
AVENUE Q is Broadway's smash-hit, 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. A hilarious show full of heart and hummable tunes, AVENUE Q is about trying to make it in NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account. Called "one of the funniest shows you're ever likely to see" by Entertainment Weekly, it features a cast of people and puppets who tell the story in a smart, risque and downright entertaining way. The New Yorker calls it "SUBVERSIVE and UPROARIOUS!" Due to adult situations (like full-puppet nudity), AVENUE Q may be inappropriate for children under 13. (Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children. But we promise you this - if you DO bring your teenagers to AVENUE Q, they'll think you're really cool!)

A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING
April 11 - May 20, 2012
A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING marks the return of Rodgers & Hammerstein to the MusicalFare stage for the first time in 18 years! This stunning revue features the most striking and alluring arrangements heard for these songs in many a year and includes songs from classic Rodgers and Hammerstein shows, such as OKLAHOMA!, SOUTH PACIFIC, SOUND OF MUSIC, THE KING & I, CAROUSEL and many others!

HAIR
July 5 - August 11, 2012
MusicalFare presents a re-conceived version of the tribal love-rock musical that originally defined the genre of the "rock musical." Join our "tribe" as we present this gigantic show in our intimate space and revel in the memory of a time that may have been decades ago, but still resonates in today's society. Featuring favorite songs like "Age of Aquarius," "Good Morning, Starshine," "Easy to be Hard," and "Let the Sunshine In," HAIR promises to be an experience to remember!
