CRT Downtown Hosts Photos With Santa and Christmas Display

By: Nov. 21, 2017

Cortland Repertory Theatre Downtown is inviting the young and young-at-heart to kick off their holiday season with CRT's 3rd annual "Photos with Santa" weekend. On December 2 & 3, the downtown theatre space magically turns into a Winter Wonderland, and Santa returns to his favorite photo spot to pose for Christmas card pictures. St. Nick will be "in town" from 10:00 - 12:00 and 2:00 - 4:00 on Saturday, and 1:00 - 3:00 on Sunday. Each photo arrangement is $10.00. Photos will be emailed during the following week; a print of the photo can be available at the time of being taken for an extra charge. Photos can be of anyone - kids or families, singles or couples, all are welcome!

Visitors of all ages are invited to get in the spirit by strolling thru CRT's festive holiday display. Fun and free activities for kids will be available, including Rudolph's Face-Painting Barn, Mrs. Claus's Craft Corner and Frosty's Hot Cocoa and Cookies. Also available will be "selfie" stations, where visitors can snap their own shots in a variety of settings. As an added treat, The Cortland Performing Arts Institute dancers, choreographed by Kevin and Cynthia Halpin, will perform at 2:15 on Saturday and 1:15 on Sunday. The weekend is sponsored by Trinity Farms.

Additionally, information about the Cortland Downtown Revitalization Initiative will be on display in CRT's lobby, with flyers to take home. Representatives from the DRI Committee will be on hand to answer questions.

For more information, visit www.cortlandrep.org, stop by 24 Port Watson Street, or call 800-427-6160.
