Last night, Dirty Dancing brought its sultry moves to Proctors theater in Schenectady, New York with a classic movie plot amplified into an energetic musical.

The story unfolds with two young lovers from very different backgrounds. Johnny Castle (Christopher Tierney) and Frances "Baby" Houseman (Bronwyn Reed) meet at Kellerman's resort over the summer, where he is a hotshot dancer and she is a young girl visiting with her family, and their mutual dislike for one another quickly turns into much more.

When Baby offers to help with Johnny's upcoming Mambo act at a nearby hotel, the two work together and create magical dance moves and chemistry they'd never expect.

And in the end, the unlikely pair shows us what it's like to fight for what they want - no matter how hard the obstacle - and how love always trumps it all.

While the love story of Baby and Johnny is the heart of the tale, there's no denying that the dancing and singing (with songs like "Hungry Eyes" and "(I've Had) The Time of My Life") from the entire cast is what made the crowds cheer in excitement.

Catch Dirty Dancing at Proctors from now until November 13th.
