Actor Chris Tardio Presents First Solo Photography Exhibition Image

One River Larchmont is excited to showcase the works of Chris Tardio. Chris Tardio is an emerging visual artist, writer and actor. He is mainly known for his roles on The Sopranos, Younger and Ray Donovan. Chris is interested in combining his love of nature with his passion of writing and is working on a book of poetry to coincide with his new exhibition of photographs.

Tardio's work explores nature at both a macro and sweeping level. His pieces look at concepts of alchemy, the four natural elements and patterns within nature to allow the viewer to experience grand expanses and small details at the same time. The fleeting nature of clouds passing, fish swimming or an ice flow is captured and frozen in time for us to examine and contemplate.

In his own words Tardio states, "As a college student, I studied English literature and was particularly inspired by the Romantic poets, their reverence for nature and their exalting nature as sublime. I think we've all, to some degree, experienced the awe that nature inspires. So to capture what's awe-inspiring in a photograph and have it on a wall, allows for a daily brush with the sublime."
