Theatre summer camp in Calgary, Alberta
Youth Singers of Calgary is a performing arts company based at the ATCO Performing Arts Centre where children, youth and adults learn to sing, dance and act. Its summer camp program, Showbiz Kids, is designed for students in grades 3 through 8 of all experience levels. Camps run one week, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and campers work together to prepare a mini-musical performed at the end of the week for family and friends. Each day mixes morning warm-ups, focused workshops in singing, dancing and acting, creative team-building challenges, rehearsals and a final showcase. No previous performing arts experience is required. Before care and after care are available for an additional fee. Youth Singers also runs year-round programs from Kids & Music for pre-K through grade 2 up to adult choirs, the STAR program, touring ensembles and school residencies.
Showbiz Kids camps serve grades 3-8 and run 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Before care runs 8:00-9:00 am and after care 4:00-5:00 pm for $30 each per week.
