A DREAM SUMMERSTOCK VTC: Musical Theater Intensive

DREAM Summerstock VTC, run by Vanguard Theater Company of Montclair, New Jersey, is a two-week residential musical theatre intensive in Elmer, New Jersey for students ages 12 to 19. Campers are cast in a fully produced show and rehearse daily under professional actors, directors, and coaches while taking workshops in vocal training, acting technique, musical theater dance, character analysis, songwriting, Shakespearean performance, belting, riffs and runs, and college preparation. Time is set aside for swimming, hiking, and sports such as gaga, tennis, and volleyball, along with evening campfires, movie and karaoke nights, and dance parties. Participants may work with professional photographers on headshots. The 2026 session runs August 2 to 16; tuition is $2,995, with payment plans from $375 per month and tuition assistance available by application.

Campers are cast in a fully produced show performed the last weekend of camp. Admission is by audition and registration; campers enroll first-come, first-served. Vanguard Theater Company's office is at PO Box 409, 180 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042.
