About this camp
Tumbleweed Day Camp is a summer day camp for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, set on 100 private acres in the Santa Monica Mountains in Los Angeles. Founded in 1954, the camp offers a screen-free program built around outdoor exploration, friendship, and traditional camp activities. Transportation is included in tuition, and camp operates North and South locations, with overnight experiences offered at the North camp only. Programming includes weekly themes, a counselor-in-training track for older campers, and long-running traditions such as popsicles every Thursday and Friday. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and also hosts birthday parties and private events. Private tours are available for prospective families, and registration is handled through CampBrain.
