Stuart C. Gildred Family YMCA

The Stuart C. Gildred Family YMCA is the Santa Ynez Valley branch of the Channel Islands YMCA, a nonprofit association of seven Ys serving San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. The branch is at 900 North Refugio Road in Santa Ynez and is open Monday through Thursday 5:30am-9pm, Friday 5:30am-8pm and Saturday 8am-5pm, with 24-hour access available. Alongside a fitness center, group exercise classes and youth and adult swim lessons, it runs youth programming including summer day camp, school-age care, School's Out care and Kid's Night Out; the association also offers sleepaway, specialty, sports, leadership, travel and family camps. Summer programs and leagues run June 8 through August 30, 2026, with registration open online and financial assistance available.
