About this camp
Swords & Soliloquies: A Shakespeare Tabletop Camp is a new Strand Academy summer camp at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta, Georgia, running Monday July 13 through Friday July 17, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM for rising 6th through 12th graders. The camp blends theatre training, character design and tabletop role-playing. Students analyze characters and themes from Shakespeare's Macbeth, then explore the play through collaborative improvisation, ensemble acting and story-driven performance. Participants develop original character designs including costume concepts, color palettes, visual motifs and symbolic elements drawn from both Shakespeare and fantasy storytelling, and take part in a tabletop campaign inspired by the play using open-content 5th-edition rules from the System Reference Document 5.2.1. Each day includes movement, voice, character work, visual design activities and guided tabletop sessions, closing with a showcase on Friday July 17 at 3:00 PM. Tuition is $350.
For rising 6th-12th graders. Showcase performance Friday, July 17 at 3:00 PM at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre. Tuition assistance available by application. All payments are non-refundable.
