School of Rock San Jose

School of Rock San Jose sits on Almaden Expressway next to Britannia Arms and teaches guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals through a performance-based curriculum that pairs weekly private lessons with weekly group band rehearsals. Little Wing serves ages 4-5 and Rookies ages 6-7 with group lessons in rhythm and song structure; Rock 101 covers ages 8-13; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) places students in bands that play local venues every few months. Songwriting is offered from age 12. The school advertises 2026 summer camps and fields an audition-based House Band, with the most advanced students eligible to audition for the national AllStars tour. Its instructor roster includes more than 20 working Bay Area musicians and former students.
