School of Rock Palo Alto

School of Rock Palo Alto sits at 2645 Middlefield Road, next to Baskin-Robbins, and is open seven days a week. Its performance-based curriculum combines one weekly private lesson with one weekly group band rehearsal. Little Wing introduces ages 4-5 to rhythm and song structure through play; Rookies covers ages 6-7; Rock 101 (ages 8-13) uses simplified classic rock songs for beginners; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) prepares student bands for live shows at Palo Alto venues every few months. Songwriting is open from age 12, and an Adult Program serves students 18 and over. Instructors, who include working Bay Area musicians, teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano and vocals. Advanced students can audition for the House Band or the AllStars national summer tour.
