STATE ON STAGE: Penn State Summer Acting Intensive

STATE ON STAGE! is the Acting Summer Intensive run by the School of Theatre in Penn State's College of Arts and Architecture at the University Park campus in State College, Pennsylvania. The two-week residential program is designed for high school students about to enter 11th or 12th grade and gives them an immersion in collegiate acting training. Students work with Penn State's faculty artists in studio classes covering the school's integrated approach to acting, voice and movement, and receive individualized attention and private instruction. Practical sessions cover navigating the college audition process and the professional industry, and evenings include master classes, cabarets and other offerings. Campers live in Penn State residence halls. As of August 2026 the program is on hold for 2026 and is scheduled to re-launch in 2027.
