About this camp
Pine Forest Camp is a coed residential summer camp in Greeley, Pennsylvania, established in 1931 by Hughie and Selma Black and still run by the same family five generations later. Located about 1.5 hours from New York City and 3 hours from Philadelphia, it serves roughly 400 campers entering grades 2 through 11, divided evenly between boys and girls, with an overall ratio of one staff member for every two campers. The program is a full seven-week season, with a limited half-season option; about 95% of campers stay the full summer. Activities span sports, tennis, aquatics, creative and performing arts, cooking, riding and adventure. Tuition covers canteen, lake towel service and round-trip transportation, and doctors and nurses live on site. Sister camps Timber Tops and Lake Owego are one mile away.
For campers entering grades 2-11. About 400 campers, evenly split boys and girls, with roughly one staff member per two campers. Tuition includes canteen, lake towel service and transportation to and from camp; luggage service and trips for campers entering 7th grade and up are extra.
