Onas

Camp Onas is a Quaker-rooted overnight camp in Ottsville, Pennsylvania, grounded in the values of simplicity, peace, equality and community and describing itself as a home without walls. Campers sleep six to eight to a bunk with two to four counselors in open-sided raised platform cabins with drop-down canvas flaps, and electronics are not permitted. Four camper-choice activity periods each day cover arts and crafts, sports, swimming, performing arts and limited-capacity offerings such as archery, canoeing and a high and low ropes course, plus a nightly all-camp activity. Optional trips include the Voyager, a three-day Appalachian Trail backpacking trip for campers 12 and older, and the Dingle, a day canoe trip on the Delaware River. Meals are family-style with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. A Camper Aid Program offers financial assistance.

Four sessions are offered in summer 2026, with campers split between a Blue Side and a Gold Side; availability and waitlists are tracked per session. Check-in is 2-4pm on the session start date and check-out is 10am-Noon on the end date. Late arrivals are generally not permitted.
