Mountain Meadow Ranch

Mountain Meadow Ranch is a third-generation family-owned overnight summer camp in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Susanville, California, operating since 1956. It serves campers ages 8 to 16 in one-week and two-week sessions from early June through late July, and sessions can be combined for longer stays. Enrollment is deliberately small at around 120 campers so that every camper is known by name, and the program is built around four themes: connect, unplug, explore and grow. Campers spend the summer away from technology in a ranch and national forest setting, with optional add-on specialties including horseback riding, water sports, out trips and backpacking for older campers. Session highlights include a July 4 all-camp celebration and a Lassen County Fair day trip. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and belongs to the Western Association of Independent Camps.

Traditional overnight program for ages 8-16 with one- and two-week sessions in June and July; sessions can be combined for longer stays. Mini Camps offer an optional $500 add-on for horses, water sports, out trips or backpacking (ages 13+). Session B includes a July 4 all-camp celebration and Session C includes a Lassen County Fair day trip. Enrollment is around 120 campers.
