Lake Owego Camp

Lake Owego Camp is a residential overnight summer camp for boys located in Greeley, in northeastern Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains, about 1.5 hours from New York City and two hours from Philadelphia. It serves boys roughly ages 7-17 and combines a traditional camp experience with specialized instruction in sports, tennis, arts, theater, aquatics and outdoor adventure. The camp is part of a family-run camp organization operated by the Black/Morin family for more than 90 years and four generations, and has been co-directed by Jeff Freedman and Kyle Silver since 2016. Roughly 270 campers attend each summer, with about 60 percent staying the full season. Lake Owego is accredited by the American Camp Association and shares a campus region with its sister camp, Timber Tops.

A $2,700 deposit per camper is required, with equal installments due November 1, January 1, March 1 and May 1. All payments are fully refundable through March 1, 2027. There is no extra charge for canteen or transportation to and from camp; luggage service and trips for campers entering 7th grade and up are not included. About 270 campers attend across the summer, with roughly a 1:2 staff-to-camper ratio. The "Rookie to Ready" two-week option is for first-time rising 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders.
