Indiana University Midsummer Theatre Camp

The Midsummer Theatre Camp is a residential summer immersion program run by Indiana University's Department of Theatre, Drama and Contemporary Dance in Bloomington. It is designed for high school students who want to develop a serious interest in theatre and dance alongside peers from around the country, and students may apply as early as the summer after their freshman year. Instruction is delivered by IU faculty, teaching assistants and professional guest artists, with students and theatre professionals working together to build an intensive ensemble. The department also runs a companion week-long program, Acting for the Camera, presented in collaboration with the Media School's Advanced Filmmakers Academy for students interested in screen acting.

Indiana University's Department of Theatre, Drama and Contemporary Dance offers two high school summer programs: the Midsummer Theatre Camp and Acting for the Camera, the latter presented with the Media School's Advanced Filmmakers Academy as a residential-only week priced at $950 including lodging, meals, instruction and equipment.
