About this camp
National Youth Theater's Forbidden Broadway Teen Camp is a six-day musical theatre intensive held at Tomball Legacy Square in Tomball, Texas. Teens perform numbers drawn from Broadway titles including The Phantom of the Opera, Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, Hadestown, Little Shop of Horrors and Sweeney Todd. Two camps run concurrently during the same week, one for ages 12-14 and one for ages 14-19, with age determined as of September 1. Days combine rehearsals for a Grand Showcase with voice, dance and drama coaching for all skill levels, plus worship and scripture time. Campers also take part in a dance night, team games and an optional Thursday overnight lock-in for older students. The week closes with two identical showcase performances on Saturday evening at Tomball Legacy Square. The 2026 directing team was led by Abigail Baker (director/choreographer) and David Horn (vocal director).
Two parallel camps run the same week: middle school (ages 12-14) and high school (ages 14-19), age as of Sept. 1, 2026. Registration for 2026 is closed.
