Hosted by Richard Skipper, with Musical Direction by Tracy Stark, friends join together to celebrate the legacy and memory of Diana Templeton.

Richard Skipper notes:

"Diana Templeton passed away on August 7 last year, just one day before what would have been her 94th birthday. Rather than mourn her absence, we're going to celebrate her presence. Joining me will be Tracy Stark at the piano and an extraordinary group of artists and friends whose lives Diana touched, including Sandra Benet, Eileen Geis Lacy, Anthony Santelmo Jr., Camille Savitz, Deborah Stone, Sidney Myer, John Fay, and Carol Shedlin. There will be songs. There will be stories. There will be laughter. There will almost certainly be a few tears. Most of all, there will be love. Because that's what Diana gave so freely. If Diana ever made you laugh, inspired you, encouraged you, or simply made your world a little brighter, I hope you'll join us. Let's celebrate her the way she celebrated all of us."

"In 1978, Diana began a remarkable twenty-seven-year chapter in the New York cabaret world, performing in many of Manhattan’s leading rooms, including The Russian Tea Room, The Firebird Café, Judy’s Supper Club, Danny’s Skylight Room, and the Hideaway Room at Helen’s. She recorded ten CDs, each reflecting her musical intelligence and emotional honesty. Diana also created and served as Artistic Director of Broadway in the Bronx, a variety show featuring top-notch cabaret artists. Through this work, she not only supported fellow performers but also expressed her deep commitment to her church and community, often centering performances around Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Bronx, a spiritual home that meant a great deal to her. Her talent was recognized and honored by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs when she received the 2006 MAC Award for Best Female Vocalist."
