For the first time in over 15 years, New York's treasured vocal quartet The Tonics will reunite this coming February for a limited engagement of three special performances at New York City's landmark venue Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.).

The much-anticipated reunion of The Tonics, which is comprised of Cortés Alexander, Michael Patrick Coughlin, Gene Reed and Kathie Talbot, will begin Feb. 28, and continue with two other shows on March 1 and a special benefit performance on March 8 for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.

The Tonics are thrilled to once again share their unique sound and intricate harmonies, and their eclectic repertoire, which includes everything from Stephen Sondheim to Stevie Wonder, along with original songs, all with their distinct stamp.

In the 90s, they dominated the New York City and Los Angeles club scenes garnering rave reviews and many awards along the way.

The Tonics have sung on many stages, from New York City's Carnegie Hall (by request of Sondheim in the Emmy-nominated PBS special honoring him) and Lincoln Center, to Los Angeles' Wiltern Theatre and Gibson Amphitheatre for the opening number of Comic Relief VII. Other television appearances have included The Rosie O'Donnell Show and Good Morning America.

The foursome have given their time and talent to many causes over the years, such as the S.T.A.G.E. Benefits for APLA, Los Angeles Shanti Foundation, the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center, and the March of Dimes & Easter Seals Telethons.

Individually, they've never stopped performing. Alexander was in the Tony Award-winning show, "Liza's at the Palace." His critically acclaimed solo debut record, "Swell," is currently available on iTunes and CDBaby.com. Coughlin is a songwriter performing in clubs all over Los Angeles, and his songs can be heard on MySpace.coM. Reed is a member of the Dan Band, touring the country and performing to sold-out crowds and can be seen in the motion picture, Old School. The group is a recurring guest on the new Jay Leno Show. Talbot is a well-respected film/TV composer and music producer. Her music and voice can be heard on Ugly Betty, CSI, Burn Notice and The Mentalist.
