Photo Coverage: A Perfect Evening With Erich Bergen at Lynn University

Erich Bergen doesn't utilize his singing and dancing talents on the CBS television series Madam Secretary, but he displayed them magnificently last night at Lynn University. Jan McArt, producer of the highly popular Live at Lynn series literally had to send a car and plane to fetch Erich off the set of Madam Secretary (which is filmed in New York City) to get him on the stage of the Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn for "A Perfect Evening with Erich Bergen". Jan also has to get him back to NYC after his matinee performance the following day at Lynn for the filming of this season's last episode of the the award winning TV show.
There are certain performers who have "star" quality and there is no doubt that Erich totally symbolizes the word "Star" with his acting, singing, dancing, and yes, piano skills. Erich starred in a company of Jersey Boys, playing the part of Bob Gaudio. Clint Eastwood the newly appointed director of the film version started to audition all the many cast members of the touring company's of Jersey Boys for the movie. Erich was battling an illness at the time and could not make the screen test but Clint got a call from Bob Gaudio who said "Erich Bergen is the one"!
Erich has a dry wit and comedic timing that rivals the popular funny men of the day, and the Lynn audience was completely captivated by his performance. Michael Orland, his music director and arranger (American Idol music director) led a fantastic band that had the theatre rocking as Erich expertly performed many music genres.
At dinner after the show Erich told the story of attending an event that Hillary Clinton was at. Of course Hillary was surrounded by people all wanting to meet her and take a selfie. Eric who didn't know Hillary couldn't seem to get her attention until he called out "Madam Secretary" and she said "OMG it's Blake Morane"! Last night at Lynn University was was truly "A Perfect Evening With Erich Bergen".
