Peggy Eason will bring "I'll Show Them All!" to "Don't Tell Mama" on June 9th, 15th, 2014.

Beautiful, Black and Blind, Peggy Easton's robust and gorgeous style will enthrall everyone who hears her. This time out she is directed by ten-time MAC winner Lennie Watts.

Peggy Eason, known on the cabaret scene since 2009, is once again bringing her show to "Don't Tell Mama"'s famous Manhattan cabaret stage. Her show's theme "I'll Show Them All!" is one of insouciance, defiance and sheer fun! She is ready to show her audiences what she is all about with many stories to tell through her word pictures and soaring melodies. Miss Eason has thrilled audiences throughout New York with her version of "Defying Gravity" (Wicked), among other songs.

Miss Eason, blind since birth, has never let that interrupt her work or life. She has had an illustrious and varied career. She grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Mount Vernon, New York. An accomplished vocalist, Miss Eason is classically trained and began singing professionally from a very young age. She earned her Master's Degree in Voice and Music Education from the Manhattan School of Music, and pursued a career early on as a lyric soprano, singing in churches, at corporate and private events while working for the Division of Parole for the State of New York.

It was hearing about Linda Amiel Burns' "Singing Experience" that gave Miss Eason, along with her husband David's encouragement, the sheer determination to have a career in cabaret. She has had nothing but rave reviews ever since. Her last show "As I See It" performed at Triad's "Stage 72" received a rave review in Time Square Chronicles ('Shining a light on Peggy Eason"). Mr. Lennie Watts: Miss Eason has the good fortune to be joined by celebrated director Lennie Watts. Mr. Watts is a ten-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) five-time Backstage Bistro and three-time Nightlife Award winner. In addition to directing in smaller cabaret venues, Mr. Watts is known for his work at Symphony Space, Town Hall and B.B. Kings. He has toured both nationally and internationally in productions of "The Music Man", "The Wizard of Oz", "The Drowsy Chaperone" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum".

The Village Voice's David Finkle refers to Mr. Watts as "A One-man Cabaret Army!" In directing Miss Eason we will soon see why! Mr. Watts is currently the president of MAC, and was recently named one of the "50 most influential people in Cabaret". You can learn more about him by visiting www.lenniewatts.com
