LeeAnét Noble is 'KickN2theBeat' at Zipper 12/14
The Zipper Factory is proud to announce KickN2theBeat, a premiere solo performance written, choreographed and performed by acclaimed percussionist, dancer and actor LeeAnét Noble (Stomp, Drumstruck).
KickN2theBeat, which has music direction by Lauretta Noble, will be presented at The Zipper Factory (336 West 37th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) One-Night Only on Friday, December 14 at 7PM.
"Told through the souls of her tap shoes and on the skins of her drums, LeeAnét Noble beats and kicks her way through the lives of her character's triumphs, adventures and the heart break blues in KickN2theBeat," explain press notes.
KickN2theBeat is presented by LAUNCH is a creative platform that makes collaborations with artists of color who defy definition, allowing these artists to take flight beyond the boundaries of anticipation, limitations and expectation. LAUNCH, created by Nyakya Brown, Kibibi Dillon and Tamilla Woodard, identifies talent and supports and nurtures the development of a performance piece that honors the phenomenal authenticity of each artist. Artists and solo pieces previously presented through LAUNCH include Cornelius Smith, Jr.'s Frayed, Queen GodIs' Birth of Power U, and Sherry Boone's The Super Star Artist Show.
