BYE BYE BIRDIE star Matt Doyle (Hugo) of the Roundabout Theater Company's Broadway revival will take part in Will Van Dyke's concert of new music, 'Life Times,' at The Duplex on Monday, October 12 at 7pm. Lisa Moss directs.

Doyle will be featured alongside Katie Gassert and Preston Sadleir. The concert consists of a series of love songs, with lyrics by Josh Halloway and Randy Blair.

Van Dyke and Halloway's original works include the musical's Pages and Halloway's solo show Girl's I've LIKE Liked. Van Dyke has also penned the scores to Where The Blue Grass Grows, That Pageant Show, Troilus and Cressida, and We Three Kings.

Matt Doyle is most well known for singing the role of Peter in the studio recording of Bare: A Pop Opera, a role he also portrayed in a reading of the piece held in 2009, and for being a swing in the original cast of Spring Awakening on Broadway. He later replaced Jonathan B. Wright in the role of Hanschen until the show closed, and then subbed in as the lead role, Melchior, in the Spring Awakening national tour in Toronto for a month long period.  In fall 2008, Matt made his first appearance as Jonathan Henry, Eric van der Woodsen's boyfriend on the CW hit Gossip Girl. Matt has a small singing role in the film Once More With Feeling, which made its premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Matt was most recently cast in as Hugo in the upcoming Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie, opening in October 2009 and on August 17th, 2009 Matt made his solo debut at Joe's Pub in New York City, with a reprisal on August 27th.
