Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com are proud to announce celebrated (and charmingly mischievous) songwriter and performer Amanda Green on Monday, January 28, 2008 at 7PM, as part of the long-running, critically-heralded and popular concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Joining Amanda Green to pose the eternal question "Does This Song Make My Ass Look Phat?" will be Broadway dazzlers Brooks Ashmanskas (The Ritz), Jenn Colella (Urban Cowboy, High Fidelity), Jonathan Dokuchitz (Hairspray), Jeny Foote (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Amy Spanger (The Wedding Singer, Chicago).  Green and her star-studded cast will perform songs from many of her shows and projects, including High Fidelity, Feeling Electric, and Debbie Does Dallas. Tom Kitt, Green's co-composer on 2006's High Fidelity, will act as musical director for the evening.

The winner of two MAC Awards, a Bistro Award and a 2004 Jonathan Larson Award and Grant for excellence in songwriting, Amanda Green's considerable talent and passionate following comes as no surprise, given her parentage: the daughter of the late legendary writer, lyricist and performer Adolph Green (Singin' In The Rain, The Band Wagon) and the actress Phyllis Newman. A graduate of Brown University, Gree recently made her Broadway debut as the lyricist of musical High Fidelity, alongside playwright David Lindsay-Abaire and director Walter Bobbie, garnering critical raves.

Green has partnered with Kitt to write songs for multiple other projects, including the stage musical Debbie Does Dallas – as well as a planned film version for Universal – and special material for top stars Kristen Chenoweth, Christine Ebersole and Mario Cantone. She was also tapped by legendary writer Arthur Laurents (West Side Story, Gypsy) to write additional lyrics for a 2004 revival of Hallelujah Baby. In 2003, Green co-starred and wrote the lyrics for the New York Fringe Festival hit comedy For the Love of Tiffany: A Wifetime Original Musical. Other notable credits include the musical Up the Week Without a Paddle; the hit revue Put A Little Love in Your Mouth: The Tongue-in-Cheek Songs of Amanda Green; and the one-woman show Take It Like Amanda.

Amanda Green performs Monday, January 28, 2008 at 7PM at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street (between 8th & 9th Aves), New York City.

Tickets: $25.00 + $10.00 Food/Drink Minimum (Per Person) Tickets can be purchased Online: www.BirdlandJazz.com; or by Telephone: 212.581.3080.
