Adam Enright to Return to Joe's Pub, 1/31
Adam Enright's GOOD BITCH GOES DOWN to play Joe's Pub on Saturday, January 31st at 9:30pm.
You follow all the rules. You swallow all the baloney and still you find yourself left behind. You're heartbroken. You're taking a pounding from life without even the consideration of a reach around. Sound familiar? You're a bitch. You're a good bitch, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.
Part self-help seminar, part autobiographical exorcism, full rock concert, GOOD BITCH GOES DOWN will show you how one man went from heartbroken to heartbreaker in 60 song-filled minutes.
Armed with the baddest of rock bands and a powerful roar, Adam Enright tackles original songs by Brooke Fox and Kurt Gellersted (WILLIAMSBURG! THE MUSICAL), Sharon Kenny (MRS. HUGHES), and David Clement (upcoming: Weathermen and the Viral Music Video Drinking Buddy.) Covers by Grace Jones, Queen, Tina Turner, Lou Reed, and more. Directed by John Caswell Jr (GOD HATES THIS SHOW), Music Direction by Michael Greco (Damn The Light Promotions), Choreography by Deborah Wolfson (WILLIAMSBURG! THE MUSICAL) and Illustrations by artist Melissa MacAlpin. Back-Up Vocals by Aaron Fuksa and Kerry Mendelson. Steve Dawson (guitar), Jimmy Caputo (bass), Oskar Haagadal (drums) and Sean Spada (keys) make up the band.
Adam Enright's previous performances include the title role in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH (Los Angeles). He is one half of 2Scoops, the legendary, recently reunited, entirely fictional 90's R&B girl group, created and performed with writing and performing partner Aaron Fuksa. Progressive Theatre Workshop's GOD HATES THIS SHOW at Joe's Pub and HERE Arts Center and WILLIAMSBURG! THE MUSICAL. He can be seen singing with ERIN AND HER CELLO and at Damn The Light Productions' Rock and Roll party MIDNIGHT SPECIAL.
