VIDEO: Put on a Happy Face in the First Trailer for JOKER

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for JOKER starring Joaquin Phoenix.

The trailer introduces the man who becomes the Joker, Arthur Fleck. "My mother always tells me to smile and put on a happy face - she told me I had a purpose to bring laughter and joy to the world," says Arthur in a voice over.
The teaser shows Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur stumbling through the streets of Gotham City, being hit by a car and mauled by street gangsters, dancing with his mother (Frances Conroy), at a diner with Sophie Dumond (Zazie Beetz), Brian Tyree Henry's unnamed character, and the Joker dying his hair green.
The film stars Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
