Hollywood producer Brian Grazer shared the exciting news that he is currently working on a remake of the 1980's comedy SPLASH. Speaking to CNBC's Carl Quintanilla, Grazer was responded to the question of who will take over the lead roles portrayed by Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah. "I'm actually going to do Splash today, and I can't say." He added, "There's a movie star going to be involved, and I haven't announced it.

He also shared that the reboot may feature some changes. "We're going to do a version of that, but I can't tell you the twist." Watch the interview below!

The 1984 fantasy romantic comedy film was directed by Ron Howard, written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, and starred Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, John Candy, Eugene Levy, andDody Goodman. The film involves a young man who falls in love with a mysterious woman who is secretly a mermaid. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. The original music score was composed by Lee Holdridge.
