THE WALKING DEAD Promotes Trio to Series Regulars

The Walking Dead is keeping a few more of its survivors around full-time.

According to TV Guide, showrunners have inked deals with Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney to return for the fourth season of the hit show as series regulars.

Coleman and Martin-Green portray sibling survivors Tyreese and Sasha, who came onto the series as comic-favorites during the third season. Kinney portrays Beth, one of Hershel's daughters, who has been with the crew since season two.

The site also confirms that network execs have enlisted Melissa Ponzio (Karen) to stick around, as well as the eye-patch wearing David Morrisey, who plays the series' human villain Governor.

The season three finale of The Walking Dead premiered at 9 pm on Sunday, delivering its largest audience ever with 12.4 million viewers and 8.1 million adults 18-49, making the series the number one program for the night and the week for total viewers and in the demo. The series' season average is also number one for the broadcast season for adults 18-49 for all of television outdelivering everything including "The Big Bang Theory," "The Voice," "Game of Thrones," "Modern Family," and almost doubling "The Bible." With Live plus 3, "The Walking Dead" typically, adds, at least an additional 3 million viewers.
