THE VOICE Hits 4-Week High for Tuesday Night

NBC ranked #1 Tuesday among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- as the "Tuesday" edition of "The Voice" hit a four-week high in 18-49 to score the #1 rating of the night (excluding unrated news coverage) and NBC News' Presidential Debate Analysis ranked #1 from 10:39-11 p.m. ET.

From 8-9 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (4.6/13 in 18-49, 12.0 million viewers overall) delivered its highest Tuesday rating since September 18 to score the #1 18-49 rating of the night (excluding unrated news coverage). "The Voice" won the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics, with a margin in adults 18-49 of 130 percent (with a 4.6 rating vs. a 2.0 for ABC's second-place "Dancing With the Stars" Results Show).

The Voice" grew by 0.9 of a point in 18-49 from half-hour to half-hour (to a 5.1 from a 4.2) and by 17 percent or more than 1.8 million persons in total viewers (13.0 million vs. 11.1 million).

"The Voice" is up 130 percent versus NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (4.6 vs. 2.0) and up 97 percent in total viewers (12.036 million vs. 6.116 million).

Tuesday from 9-10:39 p.m. ET, NBC News' coverage of the Vice Presidential Debate was sustaining and will not be included in nightly or weekly averages. From 10:30-11 p.m. ET, NBC News' analysis of the debate averaged a 4.0/10 in adults 18-49, a 4.7 rating in adults 25-54 and 11.4 million viewers overall, ranking #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all three categories.

NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics in Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5 with an encore; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.6/8; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Nightline," 1.4/5; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
