Breaking Glass Pictures is excited to announce the DVD and VOD release of Rajeev Nirmalakhandan's The Odd Way Home, starring Chris Marquette (Alpha Dog, Fanboys, The Girl Next Door) and Rumer Willis (The House Bunny, Wild Cherry, "90210"). The Odd Way Home is the story of two strangers embarking on an unforgettable journey through the American Southwest. The Odd Way Home will be released on DVD today, June 10, 2014 and was already out on VOD (iTunes, Verizon, Direct TV).

To escape her abusive past in Los Angeles, Maya (Willis) hits the road to get away from her old life. When her car breaks down in a middle-of-no-where town in New Mexico, she meets Duncan (Marquette), a reclusive man with autism. Their inspiring journey through the vistas of New Mexico is filled with moments of discovery, humor, surprises and hard realities. As their journey takes them to places they never expected, together they redefine the meaning of family.

Supporting cast includes Brandon Sexton III (Seven Psychopaths, "The Killing"), Veronica Cartwright (The Witches of Eastwick, Alien) and Bruce Altman (Matchstick Men, Game Change). The Odd Way Home was directed and co-written by Rajeev Nirmalakhandan. Nirmalakhandan co-founded the production company Slant.tv and has written, directed and edited commercials, documentaries and short films.

The Odd Way Home is supported by Temple Grandin and Stephen Shore, best-selling authors, professors, prominent speakers and advocates for autism. The DVD release (SRP $24.99) will include Six Letter Word, a short film about autism starring Rumer Willis, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The Odd Way Home premiered at the Austin Film Festival in 2013, to audience and critical praise. The Austin Chronicle raved, "Marquette positively shines as Duncan." Sara Voorhees of KOBTV said, "A beautifully subtle and compassionate performance from Chris Marquette that reminded me of Leonardo DiCaprio's in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? Totally charming and unexpected."

Founded in 2009 by Rich Wolff and Richard Ross, Breaking Glass Pictures is a
Philadelphia-based film distributor. With sister labels Vicious Circle Films and QC Cinema, Breaking Glass Pictures has released over 200 films to date.
