Directed by Josh Boone from a script by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS will feature Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Sam Trammell, Laura Dern and Willem Dafoe.Woodley will play 'Hazel Grace Lancaster' a young woman who learns she has cancer. In a support group, she falls in love with Gus (Elgort - Woodley's costar in the upcoming DIVERGENT), and rather than focus on the depressing nature of their diagnoses, they embrace their feelings for one another.
