Sir Ian McKellan Officiates Wedding of Patrick Stewart

TVGuide.com reports that Sir Ian McKellan offiated over the wedding ceremony of his close friend and co-star Patrick Stewart to singer/songwriter Sunny Ozell on Sunday, September 8th.

Stewart announced the news of his nuptuals on Twitter posting, "Yes, married," along with a photo of himself and Ozell in a ball pit.

Sir Ian also shared the joyous news on Facebook, posting a photo of himself donning a shirt which reads "Minister" and holding up the couple's marriage certificate. Along with the photo the actor joked: 'I did my part'

Stewart, 73, and Ozell, 35, first met in 2008 when Stewart was starring in a production of Macbeth at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music. The marriage is the third for the 'Star Trek' commander who has two children from a previous marriage.

McKellen is the recipient of six Laurence Olivier Awards, a Tony Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Academy Award nominations, four BAFTA nominations and five Emmy Award nominations. Some of his most notable film roles include Gandalf in the The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, Magneto in the X-Men films, and Sir Leigh Teabing in The Da Vinci Code.
