Jeff Marx, the Tony and Grammy winning co-creator of Avenue Q recently debuted a new Kwanzaa song titled, 'White Kwanzaa' on CNN's D.L. Hughley Breaks The News. Jeff and his team sent us at BWW TV the video so we could share it with you too!

Kwanzaa is a 7-day holiday with 7 principles, the Kinara holds 7 symbolic candles. A central black candle is flanked by three red candles and three green candles. The black candle is lit on the first night of Kwanzaa. An additional candle is lit on each succeeding night, until all seven candles are burning. The colors of the candles are taken from a flag created by Marcus Garvey. Kwanzaa is celebrated from 12/26th to 1/1 this holiday season.

Avenue Q is a musical about 20-somethings who move to the city with big dreams and tiny bank accounts, Avenue Q has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, and is directed by Jason Moore. The musical is produced by Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman,Jeffrey Seller, The Vineyard Theatre and The New Group. Based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, with puppets conceived and designed by Rick Lyon, Avenue Q has musical supervision by Stephen Oremus, choreography by Ken Roberson, scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Mirena Rada, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.

While Avenue Q -- which won three Tony Awards including Best Musical in 2004 -- continues its celebrated run on Broadway, the musical also enjoys an enormously successful U.S. national tour and international engagement in London's West End.
