Netflix Buys Horror Film ELI

Paramount has sold all global rights for its Paramount Players horror film Eli to Netflix, according to Deadline.

The movie, which was directed by Ciaran Foy, centers around a boy receiving treatment for his auto-immune disorder who discovers that the house he's living isn't as safe as he thought.

The script was written by David Chirchirillo, Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing and Intrepid Pictures' Trevor Macy produced it with John Zaozirny, Melinda Nishioka was Eli's executive producer.

The film stars Charlie Shotwell, Lili Taylor, Max Martini and Sadie Sink. Eli, a 2015 Black List horror script, was recently undated by Paramount, who was originally planning to release the film on January 4.
