NBC Cancels TRIAL AND ERROR After Two Seasons

"Trial and Error" has been cancelled after two seasons on NBC, according to Variety.

The true crime spoof renewed for a third season last year by NBC, but Studio Warner Bros. TV tried to find it a new network home. Unfortunately, that search has come up short.

John Lithgow starred in the first season as a professor accused of killing his wife, and Kristin Chenoweth starred in the second season as a socialite accused of killing her husband Josh, who was played by Nicholas D'Agosto.

The series also starred Sherri Shepherd, Steven Boyer, Krysta Rodriguez and Jayma Mays.

The show was written and executive produced by Jeff Astrof and Matt Miller. Jeffrey Blitz directed and also served as an executive producer. The series was produced by Other Show Productions and Good Session Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
